Preventative maintenance is essential to keep on top of your systems and equipment and to reduce the risk of any false alarm activations. At Kaizon Fire Protection, we have a team who will provide good advice and complete routine maintenance checks with accuracy and honesty. We will let you know in advance what you will need to look at fixing down the track, and provide you with options and costs.

The range of systems and equipment we routinely test are:

  • All Fire Protection systems including fire alarms and fire sprinklers. We ensure they are compliant and in accordance with New Zealand Standards.

  • Pro-active maintenance: we offer routine checks on your systems and equipment to keep on top of their lifespan and effectiveness. This will save you money long-term and will ensure you are not surprised with a sudden large bill.

  • Rapid Response service: We guarantee a 24/7 call-out service where we endeavour to be at your premises (if in Auckland) within 60 minutes for any emergency.

  • Building Warrant of Fitness: Where we differ from a lot of competitors is that we keep a record of all projects and details of each project. We do this by using a paperless job management software called SimPRO.

  • The systems we are certified to test and authorise is: Automatic systems for fire suppression, automatic or manual emergency warning systems for fire or other emergencies, automatic back-flow preventers connected to a potable water supply.

  • Automatic systems for fire suppression (for example, sprinkler systems).

  • Automatic or manual emergency warning systems for fire or other dangers (other than a warning system for fire that is entirely within a household unit and serves only that unit).

  • Electromagnetic or automatic doors or windows (for example, ones that close on fire alarm activation).

  • Emergency lighting systems.

  • Riser mains for use by fire services.

  • Automatic backflow preventers connected to a portable water supply.

  • Audio loops or other assistive listening systems.

  • Smoke control systems.

  • Emergency power systems for, or signs relating to, a system or feature specified in any of clauses 1-13.

  • Any or all of the following systems and features, so long as they form part of a building’s means of escape from fire, and so long as those means also contain any or all of the systems or features specified in clauses 1 to 6, 9, and 13:

    • Systems for communicating spoken information intended to facilitate evacuation; and

    • Final exits (as defined by clause A2 of the building code); and

    • Fire separations (as so defined); and

    • Signs for communicating information intended to facilitate evacuation; and

    • Smoke separations (as so defined).
